about

This is the soundtrack to the game "Hiragana Pixel Party!".
A rhythm action game on iOS that also teaches you how to read Japanese.

All the songs are all in the same key, and this was specifically so the voice in the game would remain in tune with whatever track was playing. I also made all the tracks at BPM’s that were somke kind of multiples of 30 frames per second, so data entry would be easier, and I would have a better chance of the audio samples playing at the right time (you ear actually can percieve drops in time that seem increadibly small).

The game is the first title released by Springloaded, and was also the first time I really got to make a decent chunk of chip music. I made a few tracks for an album in 2007, but since then haven't had the time to go back and make some more, until now!
