about

This year marks 30 years of Sludgefeast, I could write a billion words about it….but what’s the point? As we get ready to release a brand new SF album, I decided to go back and re-record all the original songs. 30 years ago, I dreamed of being able to record these songs, and now years later I kind of decided I owed it to myself to do it. If you buy the release you also get access to hours of previously unavailable rehearsals & shows from 91-93.

These studio recordings collect together every single song I could find or remember from that time. I know a bunch have been forgotten and lost, but at least these ones have been saved from the giant vacuum that is my ever-expanding-clouded-memory.

I recorded everything apart from the drums in my small flat, which is why the vocals are sung in an exceptionally quiet Anti-Rock’n’Roll fashion. I released this on April Fools day 22, exactly 30 years after we recorded our 4-track demo. And really, April fools day is the only day I could release something like this, seeing as I spent way too much time on it for no apparent reason.

For $6.66 you get 39 songs, 1 interview, 225 original unreleased recordings, and 2 secret tracks. 267 songs, that's less than quarter of a cent per track! - but you know what - that is still 8X more than Spotify will pay!
